Gandhinagar: An extended meeting of Gujarat unit of ruling Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) is likely to take place on 4-5 July at Salangpur. It is likely to be attended by Union minister Piyush Goyal. The meeting is expected to review the results of recently concluded Lok Sabha elections. The meeting may also brainstorm on upcoming bypolls and local polls.

The party believes in one person one post. The present President of Gujarat BJP CR Patil has become the union cabinet minister. His replacement is also expected in near future. Speculations regarding changes in the State party organization and State cabinet are also rife after the elections. It has to be seen whether the party meet at Salangpur will be a routine and token one or would indicate some development in these regards.
