Gandhinagar: The Southwest Monsoon 2024 has moved further in Gujarat, covering the whole of South Gujarat, Central Gujarat, and the Saurashtra region of the state. As per the IMD, the Northern Limit of Monsoon passes through Mundra and Mahesana in Gujarat. Given the favorable conditions, this year’s monsoon will cover the whole state in the next 3-4 days.
The monsoon, which made its onset on June 10th in Navsari, was stagnant there for over 10 days. However, with the occurrence of favorable conditions such as cyclonic circulation over Gujarat, the Southwest Monsoon covered the entire South Gujarat on Saturday and progressed rapidly to cover Central Gujarat and the entire Saurashtra on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the IMD has issued a heavy rain warning for several parts of the state for the next 5 days, and light to moderate rain is likely to occur throughout the entire state. DeshGujarat
