Surat: A learning zone (mini school) constructed at Lajpore Jail with the support of L&T, A.M. Naik Heavy Engineering Complex Hazira was inaugurated today in the presence of Gujarat’s Minister of State for Home Affairs, Harsh Sanghavi.

Approximately 130 inmates will benefit from this newly opened learning zone. The smart classroom within the jail premises will provide advantages to inmates pursuing studies in open universities or preparing for board exams.

“This initiative is a commendable and promising step towards encouraging self-development and skill enhancement among prisoners,” said Sanghavi.
