Navratri 2024 to be celebrated during 3rd to 12th October

Gandhinagar: Sharadiya (Sharad season’s) Navratri this year will be 10-day long festival due to doubling of Aaso Sud Treej (third day of Navratri) this year. Navratri in 2024 will start on 3rd October which is as per Gujarati Vikram Samvat calendar 1st day of Aaso onth. The third day of Aaso will be on 5th October and also on 6th October. Therefore Navratri will be 10 days long this year. On Saturday, 12th October, along with Aaso sud nom (ninth day of Navratri), Dussehra will also be celebrated in the evening. Nigh nights long Sharad season’s Navratri in Gujarat is celebrated with Garba and Dandiya Raas through the evenings and late nights. Hindu Gujaratis mark nine days with bhakti of Goddess Shakti.
Navratri 2024 dates: Thursday, 3rd Octrober – first night, Friday 4 October – second night, Saturday 5 October – third night, Sunday 6 October – third night, Monday 7 October – fourth night, Tuesday 8 October – fifth night, Wednesday 9 October – 6th night, Thursday 10 October – 7th night, Friday 11 October – 8th night, Saturday 12 October – 9th night and also Vijaya Dashami(Dussehra).DeshGujarat
