Rajkot to get 29 hectares Lion Safari Park; foundation stone for compound wall laid

Rajkot: The Standing Committee of the Rajkot Municipal Corporation met today, during which projects worth ₹119 crores were sanctioned. Among the proposals is the construction of entry gates at the upcoming Lion Safari Park, which will be developed on 29 hectares of land. The gates will be built at a cost of ₹20.18 crores, similar to those at the Devalia and Ambardi Safari Parks. All necessary approvals have been obtained.

Standing Committee Chairman Jaimin Thakar stated that, similar to Pradyuman Park and Ram Van, the Rajkot Municipal Corporation is creating the Lion Safari Park for the people of Rajkot. All necessary approvals have been received, after which the MLA for Rajkot East Assembly Constituency, Uday Kangad, laid the foundation stone for the construction of the compound wall yesterday across the entire 29-hectare area. Today, the Standing Committee granted approval to build attractive entry gates, similar to those at Devalia and Ambardi Safari Parks. This park is expected to open in the next 1.5 years for the people of Rajkot.

Pradyuman Park, owned by the Rajkot Municipal Corporation, is located in Rajkot. The Asiatic Lion Safari Park will be constructed in Survey Nos. 144, 145, and 150 on the east side of this park, near Randerda Lake. DeshGujarat
