Heavy rain may continue in some parts of Gujarat in next 24 hours; here’s the IMD forecast

Ahmedabad: The monsoon was vigorous across Gujarat, bringing significant rainfall in the last 24 hours. Heavy rainfall occurred in Surat, Dang, and Chhotaudepur, while other districts also witnessed downpours. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a further warning of rain in some places during the next 24 hours, valid until 8:30 AM on Tuesday.

According to the IMD bulletin, heavy rains are very likely at isolated locations in the districts of the Gujarat region, namely Surat, Dang, Tapi, Navsari, Valsad, and in Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli. In the Saurashtra districts, heavy rainfall is expected in Rajkot, Junagadh, Amreli, and Gir Somnath until 8:30 AM on October 15th.

However, light rain is likely to continue in most parts of the state today. From tomorrow, the intensity and area of the rain are expected to subside until October 21st.
