Ahmedabad gets new Chief Fire Officer and 3 additional Chief Officers

Ahmedabad: The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has appointed Amit Dongre as the Chief Fire Officer, while Mihir Rana has been appointed as Additional Chief Fire Officer. These appointments were announced after the civic body’s Staff Selection Committee meeting held on Thursday.
Amit Dongre, who is currently serving as Regional Fire Officer in Ahmedabad for the state government, will now lead the city’s fire brigade. Additionally, two officers, Jayesh Khadia and Mithun Mistry, have also been promoted and appointed as Additional Chief Fire Officers, bringing the total number of Additional Chief Fire Officers in the city to three. Two of them will be responsible for East and West regions, and one will oversee administration.
Mayor Pratibha Jain stated that Amit Dongre has been appointed as the Chief Fire Officer in the Fire Department of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, while Mihir Rana has been appointed as Additional Chief.
