Kutch: The police have arrested another accused in connection with the ‘Love Jihad’ case that came to light a few days ago. The police have arrested Kasam Hingorja for helping the main accused, Jiyad, in trapping a Hindu woman, who was forced to convert and raped by Jiyad.

One Ziyad Latif raped a Hindu woman after trapping her by impersonating Jigar, a man from Pune, Maharashtra. According to the police, the victim and her family used to live in Mumbai but moved to Godhra in Mandvi taluka due to harassment from the accused. To stay in touch with the victim, Jiyad sought connections in Godhra, where another accused, Altaf (from Mumbai), introduced him to Kasam Osman Hingorja.

Jiyad then traveled from Pune to Godhra, where Kasam arranged for him to stay at Hotel Shivshakti. Kasam, who worked at the hotel, assisted Jiyad in reaching the victim’s home. Both suspects were produced in court and have been remanded to Palara Jail. Meanwhile, the police are continuing efforts to arrest Altaf, who provided assistance from Mumbai.
