Drunk Audi driver rams car into several vehicles on Ambli-Bopal Road

Ahmedabad: An accident occurred on Ambli-Bopal Road in the city this morning involving an Audi driver, allegedly intoxicated, who recklessly drove his car and collided with four to five vehicles. Eyewitnesses reported that the driver was intoxicated and was seen smoking a cigarette inside the car after the accident. Following the incident, the public thrashed the accused driver and handed him over to the police.
According to preliminary details, the accident took place this morning when a drunk driver, identified as Ripal Panchal, recklessly drove an Audi (license plate number GJ18 BQ 6780) and rammed it into multiple vehicles near the Tata Motors showroom, creating panic among other motorists and causing widespread chaos.
The accused was traveling from ISKCON Bridge towards Ambali with his Audi when he first collided with a Harrier car, then with a tempo, and subsequently with another vehicle. The Audi later hit a Nexon car near the Tata Motors showroom and finally came to a stop after crashing into a divider.
One of the victims recounted that she was on her way to the office when the Audi driver hit her, causing her to fall. The driver appeared drunk and unconscious of his actions. After the collision, he was seen sitting inside the car, smoking a cigarette. He then drove again, ramming into additional vehicles near the Tata Motors showroom.
Witnesses said that when the driver tried to escape, the public chased him, pulled him out of the car, and beat him. He was later handed over to the police. Even after being caught, the driver remained calm and unconcerned. DeshGujarat
