Trump Names Kash Patel As New FBI Director; Know More About His Gujarati Origin

Gandhinagar: Newly elected US President Donald Trump has appointed Kashyap Kash Patel of Gujarati origin as the next director of the investigative agency ‘Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Trump announced this in a post on his social media platform Truth Social on Saturday.

Kash Patel, 44, was born on February 25, 1980, in New York. Patel family hails from the city of Vadodara in Gujarat. Fearing the expulsion order of Ugandan dictator Idi Amin, Kash Patel’s parents fled to the United States via Canada in the 1970s. Kash Patel’s father got a job with an airline after he became a U.S. citizen in 1988.

In this post, Trump also praised Kash Patel’s past work. Earlier, Kash Patel worked as Chief of Staff in the Ministry of Defense, Deputy Director of National Intelligence and Senior Director of Counterterrorism Programs in the National Security Council during Trump’s first term.

 

Trump said that I am proud that Kashyap Kash Patel will serve as the next director of the FBI. Kash is a brilliant lawyer and investigator. Praising Kash Patel, Trump called him an ‘America First’ fighter. Trump said that Kash Patel has spent his career exposing corruption, serving justice and protecting the American people.

Trump said that Kash Patel has been entrusted with this responsibility to deal with the rising crime rate in the United States, criminal gangs and crimes such as human and drug smuggling taking place at the border.

In 2020, a secret mission was organized by the United States in the Syrian capital Damascus, which was led by Kash Patel. The mission was organized for the release of psychotherapist Majd Kamalmaz and journalist Austin Tice, who were arrested by Syria.

Kash Patel studied law at Pace University School of Law in New York. After completing his law degree in 2004, when Kash Patel could not find a job at a large law firm, he began working as a public prosecutor. He worked in the Miami courts for about 9 years. During that time, he solved complex cases, including murder, drug trafficking and financial crimes.

In 2013, he was appointed as a trial attorney at the Department of Justice, where he worked to investigate individuals associated with terrorist groups such as al-Qaeda and ISIS. In 2017, he was appointed as a senior counterterrorism advisor to the House Intelligence Committee.

In 2019, he was appointed to the staff of President Trump’s National Security Council (NSC). That same year, he was also made the senior director of the Counterterrorism Directorate. During Donald Trump’s first term as president, Kash Patel served on the National Security Council as Trump’s counterterrorism advisor and as chief of staff to Defense Secretary Christopher Miller.

Kash Patel was included in the committee formed to investigate Russian interference in the 2016 election. It was while working on this that he first came to Trump’s attention.

According to a report in the New York Times, Trump, as president, pressured Ukraine in 2019 to gather information about Joe Biden’s son. Due to which the opposition got angry with him. To avoid any legal complications, Trump created a team of advisors to help in this matter. Which also included Kash Patel’s name. Then everyone was surprised to see his name.

Kash Patel continued to climb the promotion ladder after joining the Trump administration in 2019. He stayed in the Trump administration for only 1 year and 8 months, but came to everyone’s attention. A report in The Atlantic Magazine described Kash Patel as someone who ‘can do anything for Trump’.

In the Trump administration, where almost everyone was already loyal to Trump, he was also counted among Trump’s most loyal people. Because of this, many officials were afraid of him.

Kash Patel has also written many songs for Trump, in which he has been called a patriot. He also helped in writing a book on Trump
Kash Patel has worked as a senior advisor to the Director of National Intelligence. During this period, he oversaw the operations of 17 intelligence agencies. While holding this position, Patel was involved in many important matters. In addition to eliminating ISIS leaders, al-Qaeda leaders like Baghdadi and Qasim al-Rimi, he is also involved in the mission to bring back many American hostages.

After Trump left office, Kash Patel is trying to advance the former president’s agenda. Kash has written a book called “Government Gangsters: The Deep State, the Truth and the Battle for Our Democracy,” in which he describes how widespread corruption is in government.

To make Trump popular among children, Kash Patel wrote a book called The Plot Against the King.
