Nepal man held with fake Indian passport at Ahmedabad airport

Ahmedabad: A 26-year-old Nepali man was detained at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International (SVPI) Airport on Sunday for allegedly carrying a fake Indian passport.
According to a complaint filed with the Airport police, Naresh Singh Tamalkar, a resident of Saijpur-Bogha, was found with suspicious documents. Upon further inspection, his Indian passport was confirmed to be counterfeit.
During questioning, the man disclosed that he was from Dadeldhura town in Sudurpashchim province, Nepal. He was apprehended while attempting to board a Dubai-bound flight, said Inspector S.G. Khambhala. The case has been handed over to the Special Operations Group (SOG) for further investigation.
