Gujarat govt provisions Rs. 700 cr for assistance to large industries; Rs. 406 cr for deep-sea discharge projects

Japan K Pathak, Gandhinagar: The Gujarat government has proposed a Rs. 700 crore allocation in the annual budget for assistance to large industries.

Deep-sea pipeline project at Bulk Drug Park at Jambusar and Sayakha has found an allocation of Rs. 386.80 crore in the budget. Rs. 20 crore assistance is also provisioned for the deep-sea discharge project at Ahmedabad.

Rs. 10 crore allocation is proposed to prepare feasibility study report for development of Special Economic Region and Growth Hub by Gujarat Infrastructure Development Board.

Rs. 5 crore assistance each is proposed for the development of the Sports Goods Manufacturing Park, the 100 MLD Desalination plant at Dahej, Logistics Parks, Viksit Gujarat Mega Manufacturing Parks, Green Manufacturing Zone, and Smart Industrial Park.

Rs. 2 crore assistance each is proposed for modernization of the Skill Development Centre and for the Women Entrepreneurship Scheme.

Rs. 5 crore allocation is proposed for the SCALE initiative to boost Gujarat’s manufacturing and growth.

The government has also proposed the creation of the Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WRP): Gujarat State Chapter. Rs. 2 crore provision is made for this.
