February 27, 2025
Gandhinagar: The state government has set a target to build and expand new industrial estates (GIDCs) in the remote talukas of Gujarat. As part of this initiative, 07 plots and 04 sheds have been allotted in Sankheda taluka of Chhota Udepur district, and 10 plots and 02 sheds in Pavi Jetpur, Industries Minister Balwantsinh Rajput said while replying to a question in the Legislative Assembly.
In response to a sub-question, Minister Rajput stated that the development of a new GIDC requires government land located near cities, transportation facilities, highways, electricity, water supply, and railway connectivity.
With the aim of providing suitable employment opportunities to local youth, the state government is committed to ensuring that no taluka in Gujarat remains without a GIDC, he added. DeshGujarat
