Police recover secretly murdered man’s body from a farm house in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: A 15-year-old dispute between two neighbors in Sola ended in the brutal murder of Kamlesh Tiwari (40). The victim was lured to a farmhouse under the pretense of reconciliation, where he was attacked, killed, and buried in a pit. After a week-long investigation, Sola police first identified the accused and later recovered the body on Wednesday.

The incident occurred on February 18 when Kamlesh, a resident of Chandlodia and a cook by profession, did not return home, prompting his wife to file a missing person complaint with the Sola High Court Police. Acting on the complaint, Sola police launched a probe and traced Kamlesh’s last known location near Chandlodia Railway Garnala. Investigations further revealed that suspect Mahavir Shah’s friend, Atul Patel, owned a farmhouse in the same area, leading police to interrogate both men.

During questioning, both suspects confessed that they had called Kamlesh to the farmhouse on February 18 to settle their long-standing dispute. However, an argument broke out, and Mahavir Shah, Atul Patel, Mahavir’s wife Jagrutiben, Rushabh Savariya, Sunil Thakor, and Gamnaram Bawari attacked Kamlesh with sticks and a hatchet, killing him. They then dug a pit on the farmhouse premises and buried his body.

Based on their confession, police began digging at the farmhouse on February 25 and recovered the body the next day, Wednesday. The police have initiated further legal proceedings against the accused. DeshGujarat
