Rajkot: Another hospital has been suspended from the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY). Shanti Multispecialist Hospital has been suspended from the PM-JAY scheme for six months after irregularities emerged during an inspection by the insurance committee. The authorities have also imposed a fine of ₹23.15 lakh on the hospital.

Authorities have taken action in the aftermath of the Khyati Hospital death case, where the hospital, in order to earn money from PM-JAY, performed unnecessary and unrequired angioplasty and angiography on some patients, leading to the deaths of two patients. DeshGujarat
