Sojitra: A woman from Sojitra, Nisha Vohra, is facing a police complaint after falsely claiming to have passed the Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) examination and working as a Deputy Superintendent of Police (Dy.SP) with the Ahmedabad Crime Branch.
The controversy erupted after a social media post went viral, where Vohra claimed to have cleared the GPSC Class-3 examination and expressed her desire to serve the nation as an IPS officer, while also preparing for the UPSC examination. Sojitra Police have registered a complaint against Nisha Salim Vohra and handed over the investigation to the Local Crime Branch.
The investigation revealed that Vohra had misled people by falsely claiming to have passed the GPSC examination. A review of the GPSC results from the past five years showed no record of Nisha Vohra from Sojitra. Furthermore, no records or evidence were found to support her claim of having passed any GPSC examination in the past or currently serving as a Dy.SP.
It has also come to light that Vohra had allegedly gained publicity by falsely claiming that she was felicitated by the Charotar Sunni Vohra Samaj and other organizations for being selected as a Dy.SP at a young age.
During a public event in Sojitra attended by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and MLA Vipul Patel, Vohra presented the Chief Minister with a painting she had created. It is alleged that she misled them as well.
Nisha Vohra completed her secondary and higher secondary education at Jamia High School in Sojitra and graduated in Commerce from Sardar Patel University in Vallabh Vidyanagar. She claimed to have prepared for the GPSC examination independently, without attending any coaching classes, and with guidance from some officials. However, these claims have been refuted by the investigation.
