March 08, 2025
Gandhinagar: To ensure easy and swift transportation for the citizens of the state during the upcoming Holi-Dhuleti festivals, the Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) has made special arrangements. According to the Gujarat ST Corporation’s announcement, a total of 7,100 trips will be operated with an additional 1,200 buses during these festivals.
As stated in the release, GSRTC provides additional transportation services every year during various festivals and religious fairs, enabling citizens to celebrate with their families. Many residents of districts such as Panchmahal, Dahod, Jhalod, Godhra, Santrampur, and Chhota Udepur travel to other parts of the state for work or business. During festivals like Holi-Dhuleti, those who have settled in different districts return to their hometowns. To facilitate this travel, 7,100 trips will be operated from districts such as Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Amreli, Junagadh, Bhavnagar, and Bhuj to destinations like Godhra, Dahod, Jhalod, and Chhota Udepur. Out of these, 4,000 trips will be operated by 500 buses specifically for Dakor and Dwarka. These additional services will run from March 10 to March 16, 2025.
Last year, GSRTC operated over 6,500 trips with 1,000 buses to transport passengers to their hometowns. Additionally, 3,000 trips with 400 buses were arranged for devotees attending the Dakor Ranchhodraiji Phuldolotsav.
Passengers can avail advance and current online booking for the extra services operated by the corporation from the depot, the corporation’s website www.gsrtc.in, and the corporation’s mobile application. Additionally, for inquiries related to operations, passengers can get information 24/7 from all corporation depots and through the toll-free number 1800 233 666666. The corporation has requested the citizens of the state to take special advantage of these services
