IMD issues Red Alert for severe heatwave conditions in parts of Gujarat

Kutch: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a Red Alert for severe heatwave conditions likely to prevail in parts of Gujarat today and a Yellow Alert for heatwave conditions in some districts tomorrow.
As per the IMD bulletin, on March 12, severe heatwave conditions are very likely to prevail at isolated pockets in the districts of Surendranagar, Porbandar, and Kutch, and a Red Alert is in place for these districts.
Meanwhile, an Orange or Yellow Alert has been issued for Banaskantha, Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad, Anand, Rajkot, Morbi, Junagadh, Amreli, Botad, Bhavnagar, Sabarkantha, and Vadodara, as these districts are expected to experience heatwave conditions.
Warm night conditions are very likely at isolated pockets in the Gujarat region, specifically in Anand, and in Saurashtra-Kutch, including Surendranagar, Porbandar, and Kutch.
On March 13, heatwave conditions are very likely to prevail at isolated pockets in North Gujarat, covering Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, as well as in Saurashtra-Kutch, including Surendranagar, Porbandar, and Kutch. DeshGujarat
