Robbers cut open SBI ATM in Surat, steal over ₹18 lakh

Surat: Five men allegedly robbed an SBI ATM kiosk in the city by cutting the ATM machine with a gas cutter and escaping with ₹18,14,900 in cash. The crime was captured on a nearby CCTV camera.
According to the police, the suspects arrived in a white hatchback and stopped outside the ATM near Chitrali Row House in Jahangirpura around 2:25 am on Wednesday. They covered the CCTV cameras with black tape, disabled the alarm system, and then used a gas cutter to break open the machine. The thieves took cash from all compartments before fleeing.
Surat Police DCP Vijay Singh Gurjar stated that they had cut the lower part of the ATM, and both local police and the Crime Branch are investigating the case. DeshGujarat
