IMD issues heatwave alert for parts of Gujarat till March 17

Kutch: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heatwave alert for parts of Gujarat for the next three days. According to the IMD bulletin, an orange alert has been issued for severe heatwave conditions likely to prevail in Kutch today.
Meanwhile, for the next two days, i.e., Sunday and Monday, a yellow warning is in place for heatwave conditions.
Additionally, discomfort conditions due to hot and humid air are very likely to prevail over the coastal areas of South Gujarat and Saurashtra-Kutch from March 15 to March 19, 2025.
As per the IMD,
March 15: Severe heatwave conditions are very likely to prevail at isolated pockets in Kutch district of Saurashtra-Kutch, while heatwave conditions are expected in Diu.
March 16: Heatwave conditions are very likely at isolated pockets in Kutch district of Saurashtra-Kutch.
