Gujarat govt transfers five GAS officers

Gandhinagar: The Gujarat government today announced the transfer of five Gujarat Administrative Service (GAS) officers in a recent bureaucratic reshuffle. The officers have been reassigned to key administrative positions across the state.
As per the notification issued by the General Administration Department of the state government, V.C. Bodana, GAS (Senior Scale), previously serving as Additional Director in the Office of the Director of Higher Education, Gandhinagar, has been appointed as Resident Additional Collector, Patan, relieving Jay Barot, GAS, of additional charge.
J.J. Patel, GAS (Senior Scale), Regional Transport Officer, Ahmedabad, has been transferred to the post of Resident Additional Collector, Panchmahals-Godhra, taking over from D.M. Desai, GAS.
D.P. Chauhan, GAS (Senior Scale), Member of the Gujarat State Waqf Tribunal, Gandhinagar, has been appointed as Resident Additional Collector, Kutch-Bhuj, replacing M.P. Pandya, IAS.
D.V. Makwana, GAS (Senior Scale), Chief Personnel Officer in the Office of the Commissioner of Health, Medical Services & Medical Education, Gandhinagar, has been designated as Resident Additional Collector, Aravalli-Modasa, relieving R.N. Kuchara, GAS.
Additionally, R.P. Joshi, GAS (Senior Scale), who was serving as Director of the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA), Patan, has been transferred and placed at the disposal of the Urban Development & Urban Housing Department for appointment as Deputy Municipal Commissioner, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation.
