Ahmedabad: The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) conducted a sealing drive today against properties with outstanding property tax dues. The tax department employees of the West Zone initiated the operation at 7:00 AM, sealing a total of 2,415 properties across various wards.

Key complexes and areas affected include Dasha Porwad Society, Sumeru Complex, Om Complex (Paldi), Abhijit-2, Iscon Avenue, Usha Flats (Navrangpura), Sakar-9, Ruturaj, Celebrity Aura (Stadium Ward), Suryarani Complex, Ratnabh Complex, Sweni Complex (Akbarnagar), and multiple locations in Ranip, Chandkheda, and Ramnagar.

As a result of the drive, AMC has recovered ₹1.91 crore in pending dues from the West Zone. Additionally, 4,841 notices were issued to residential property owners with unpaid taxes. The corporation has warned property owners to clear outstanding dues immediately, failing which water and drainage connections will be disconnected, and properties may be auctioned for recovery.
