Janata Raja Marathi play to be performed in Vadodara with 200 artists in first week of April

Vadodara: Shows of Janata Raja Marathi play will be performed in the cultural capital of Gujarat, Vadodara city, on 3-4-5-6 April. As many as 70 artists will come from Pune in Maharashtra to perform in this play, in addition to 130 local artists.

The play was last performed in Vadodara about 16 years ago. A grand play has been staged 1300 times in the past across the country and also outside in London. The daily cost of organizing this play is around Rs. 40 lakh. The show portrays the Rajyabhishek occasion of Shivaji Maharaj, and elephants and horses are also used to recreate the grand occasion.

The show will have a 6000-seat capacity and will be performed at Navlakhi ground. The tickets shall be available online, and the prices will be Rs. 750, Rs. 1100, and Rs. 1500 per person. The show has been watched by 2 crore people so far. The show will start at 7:30 pm, and entry will open at 6 pm.

The first day’s show will be reserved for invitees, including the children and parents of Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) run schools. These details were shared by the City BJP officials in a press conference on Saturday. DeshGujarat
