115 Trains to Resume Halts at Surat Railway Station from April 1st; 25 Trains Via Tapti Line to Continue Halting at Udhna

Surat: Relief is on the horizon for passengers traveling to and from Surat as 115 trains, temporarily diverted to Udhna Railway Station, will resume their scheduled halts at Surat Railway Station from April 1st, 2025. This development comes as platforms number two and three at Surat Station, which were under renovation, are set to reopen for passenger traffic.
For the past three months, due to development work on platforms two and three, 115 trains, including 97 express and superfast trains and 18 MEMU trains, were rerouted to Udhna. However, with the completion of the renovation, these platforms will be accessible to passengers from April 1st.
- Platform Reopening: Platforms number two and three at Surat Railway Station will be reopened for passenger traffic from April 1st, 2025.
- Train Resumption: 115 trains, previously halting at Udhna, will resume their scheduled stops at Surat Station.
- Tapti Line Trains: 25 trains running on the Tapti Line, originating from or heading towards Ahmedabad, will continue to halt at Udhna Railway Station.
- Surat-Puri and Surat-Malda Town Trains: The Surat-Puri Weekly Superfast (22827-28) and Surat-Malda Town Weekly Express (13425-26) will continue to originate and terminate at Udhna Railway Station.

While the resumption of train halts at Surat Station will provide relief to thousands of passengers, the continued halt of 25 trains at Udhna will still require some passengers to travel to Udhna.
