Gujarat Congress district, city presidents to meet party high command in Delhi on April 3

Gandhinagar: District and City Presidents of the Gujarat Congress will visit New Delhi on April 3. This follows the recent visit of the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to Gujarat, during which he hinted at a major restructuring within the party.

A total of 33 district and 8 city presidents of the Congress party will meet the high command in Delhi to finalize strategies for strengthening the party at the grassroots level, particularly in Gujarat, where local body elections are due next year. The meeting is also expected to address the decentralization of power within the state organization. It will take place on April 3 at Gandhi Bhavan in New Delhi.

Notably, the Congress party will hold its national convention in Ahmedabad on April 8-9. In the lead-up to this event, the party is focusing on a nationwide revamp of its grassroots structure.

As part of this strategy, Congress has planned a three-phase meeting involving 700 district presidents across India. The April 3 meeting in Delhi will see Gujarat’s district and city presidents engaging with senior leadership to discuss organizational improvements and campaign strategies. DeshGujarat
