March 28, 2025
Gandhinagar: The Central Government has fixed the support price for maize for the Rabi Marketing Season 2025-26 at ₹2,225 per quintal. The support price for millet is ₹2,625 per quintal, for sorghum (hybrid) ₹3,371 per quintal, for sorghum (maldandi) ₹3,421 per quintal, and for ragi ₹4,290 per quintal. Additionally, a bonus of ₹300 per quintal will be given for millet, sorghum, and ragi. To ensure that farmers receive fair prices for their produce, the Gujarat government will procure maize, millet, sorghum, and ragi at the minimum support price through the Gujarat State Civil Supplies Corporation Ltd. under the Rabi Marketing Season 2025-26.
Online registration for farmers who wish to sell their produce at the minimum support price will be conducted through VCE at the local village level across the state from April 1 to April 30, 2025. The procurement process will take place from May 1 to July 15, 2025. Farmers are urged to register. Registration will be done through biometric authentication of farmer account holders, which is an important requirement.
For registration, the following documents will be required:
- A copy of the Aadhaar card
- Updated village records (7/12, 8/A)
- If crop sowing details are not mentioned in 7/12 or 8/A, a certificate from the Talati with signature and stamp
- Bank account details in the farmer’s name
- A copy of the bank passbook or a canceled cheque
Online registration is mandatory for farmers who wish to sell their crops at the minimum support price. They are advised to contact their respective Gram Panchayat for registration.
Farmers who register for procurement at the support price will receive SMS notifications regarding the purchase schedule. At the time of procurement, farmers must carry their Aadhaar card or any valid identity proof. The quantity will be purchased only through biometric authentication of the farmer account holder. If incorrect documents are uploaded during verification, the order will be canceled, and the farmer will not be eligible for procurement. Farmers should take note of this.
