Akasa Air to resume Ahmedabad-Gwalior flight from April 7
March 29, 2025
Ahmedabad: A direct flight between Ahmedabad and Gwalior is set to resume operations on April 7, with Akasa Air receiving approval under the summer schedule. This development follows Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia’s efforts to enhance air connectivity between the two cities.
Earlier, Akasa Air operated a weekly service on this route during the winter but discontinued it due to low passenger demand. Now, starting April 7, the Akasa Air flight will depart from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport at 11:00 AM and land in Gwalior at 12:40 PM. This flight will operate weekly on Mondays, with bookings already open on the airline’s website. On the return journey, the flight will take off from Gwalior at 1:20 PM and arrive at SVPI Airport at 3:00 PM.
In February 2024, then Union Minister of Civil Aviation and Steel, Jyotiraditya Scindia, along with Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, inaugurated the Gwalior-Ahmedabad flight route. Initially launched with a weekly frequency, officials had assured that the service would expand based on demand. DeshGujarat
