Gujarat CM attending Waaree and GACL inaugurations today

Gandhinagar: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel is going to inaugurate Chlorotoluene plant by Gujarat Alkalies & Chemicals Ltd (GACL) at Dahej today afternoon. The Chief Minister is likely to visit the ETP plant and infrasturctural facilities at Dahej. He is likely to review the Bhabhut barrage project. The Chlorotoluene plant at Dahej is one of the key downstream projects undertaken by GACL to diversify its product portfolio beyond its core chlor-alkali products like caustic soda and chlorine.
Before that, the Chief Minister is going to attend the function of Waaree Energy Ltd at Degam in Chikhli taluka of Navsari district at around noon. Waaree Energies is inaugurating its 5.4 GW solar cell manufacturing plant in Chikhli, Navsari, Gujarat, today. This facility marks a significant step in India’s solar manufacturing landscape, with commercial production already underway for a 1.4 GW monocrystalline PERC solar cell line as part of its phased commissioning.
