Vadodara: A tragic hit-and-run incident on Madodhar Road in Vadodara’s Waghodia taluka has come to light after CCTV footage of the accident surfaced. A speeding dumper driver struck a mother and her two daughters on a moped, killing 12-year-old Kavya Patel, while her mother, Snehaliben Patel (32), and younger sister, Jill Patel (10), sustained injuries and were hospitalized. The driver fled the scene, and police have launched a search operation to apprehend him.
The accident occurred as Snehaliben was taking her daughters to her brother’s house in Madodhar village. As they neared Galaxy Society on Ramian Madodhar Road, a recklessly driven dumper hit them, dragging them nearly 50 meters before fleeing. While all three sustained injuries, Kavya, who was already unwell, succumbed after brief treatment at a hospital.
Snehaliben had taken Kavya to a doctor before heading to her brother Kaushikbhai Patel’s house in Madodhar. It was during this journey that tragedy struck. Following the incident, Kaushikbhai Patel filed a complaint with the Waghodia police, who have registered a case against the absconding dumper driver and initiated further action.
The shocking accident was captured on CCTV, showing the dumper speeding before striking the mother and daughters. The impact was severe, leading to Kavya’s untimely death. Authorities have informed her father, who currently resides in Dubai, about the incident.
The investigation into Kavya Patel’s death is ongoing, with efforts underway to track down the dumper driver responsible for the tragedy. DeshGujarat
