Demolition drive in Jamnagar razes Saicha gang’s illegal encroachments

Jamnagar: The city civic body carried out a mega demolition drive in the Bedi area of Ward No. 1, freeing government land worth ₹18 crore from illegal encroachments.
In action against anti-social elements in the area, the Jamnagar Municipal Corporation, along with the local police and district authorities, demolished 11 illegal encroachments linked to the Saicha gang.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Premsukh Delu, present at the demolition site, said, “Several crimes have been registered against members of the Saicha gang, including murder, abetment to suicide, extortion, and usury. These individuals had encroached on government land and built houses illegally. Five houses were razed earlier, and 11 have been demolished now.”
The District Collector said, “In Jamnagar city, in the Jamnagar Municipal Corporation’s Bedi area, a demolition drive is underway, freeing approximately 1,000 square meters of land.” DeshGujarat
