Sardar City Waterpark sealed in Pavagadh for lacking clearance
April 05, 2025
Panchmahal: The Sardar City Waterpark in Pavagadh was sealed by authorities on Thursday after it was found operating without required permissions. The district administration took action when officials, during a routine land inspection, found the park open to visitors despite lacking clearance from the district-level committee.
Panchmahal district collector Ashish Kumar confirmed that although the waterpark had applied for permissions and obtained departmental approvals, it had not yet received final clearance. “The committee has not yet convened to make a final decision,” he said. The incident has sparked concerns over safety enforcement, particularly after recent tragedies such as the Rajkot gaming zone fire and the Harni lake boat capsize. The committee will now assess the situation and determine the park’s operational status going forward. DeshGujarat
