CM launches ₹94 crore projects from Visavadar; announces new works worth ₹634 crore in Junagadh

Junagadh: Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, during his visit to Visavadar in Junagadh district, announced new development projects worth ₹634 crore and inaugurated or laid the foundation for works amounting to ₹94 crore. He assured that the state government would provide the necessary funds for further development based on proposals submitted by local teams.
Among the key announcements were ₹259 crore allocated for new roads in Visavadar taluka and ₹55 crore for a new sub-district hospital. CM Patel emphasized that such infrastructure initiatives align with the vision of a “Viksit Gujarat for a Viksit Bharat.” He also reiterated the government’s commitment to prioritizing water conservation projects, allocating ₹50 lakh from MLA grants specifically for these efforts.
After launching the projects, CM Patel addressed the public and announced that a total of 81 works had been approved in the Visavadar Assembly constituency with a combined budget of ₹55 crore. He also stated that 27,000 square meters of land had been allotted for the construction of the new hospital. “Now, it is our duty to complete this hospital project at the earliest,” he added.
The CM also paid tribute to former Chief Minister Keshubhai Patel, describing Visavadar as his karmabhoomi. He highlighted that industrial development is now reaching villages, driven by the One District One Product initiative and improved road connectivity.
Among the major projects launched or initiated were:

Inauguration of a ₹32.95 crore godown complex of Gujarat State Seed Corporation Ltd. at Vanthali.

Inauguration of facilities including Box Cricket, Table Tennis, and Archery at a sports club run by the Zilla Panchayat, Junagadh, completed at a cost of ₹0.22 crore.

E-launch of construction work for the BRC Bhavan in Junagadh city at a cost of ₹0.90 crore.

E-inauguration of the Government Girls High School at Keshod, built at a cost of ₹2.88 crore.

E-launch of renovation work for two branches of the Junagadh District Co-operative Bank at Visavadar, along with the allocation of micro ATMs to five co-operative societies.

Foundation stone laid for the construction of a new ITI building in Junagadh city at a cost of ₹32.05 crore.

Foundation stone laid for a ₹0.31 crore Badminton Court at the Sports Club run by the Zilla Panchayat, Junagadh.

Foundation stone laid for the construction of the Sub-Registrar Office and City Survey Office in Junagadh city and the Mamlatdar Office at Malia Hatina at a cost of ₹8.67 crore.

Foundation stone laid for four road resurfacing projects under the State Roads and Buildings Department worth ₹5.20 crore.

Foundation stone laid for six road resurfacing projects to be carried out by the Panchayat division of the Roads & Buildings Department at a cost of ₹10.90 crore.
The event was attended by Agriculture and Junagadh district in-charge Minister Raghavji Patel, MP Rajesh Chudasama, and other dignitaries. Several development works including government building inaugurations, sports infrastructure upgrades, and cooperative bank renovations were initiated.
