Ahmedabad: The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) is preparing to renovate the Kids City located at the Kankaria Lakefront, with a tender for the project to be floated soon, announced Standing Committee Chairman Devang Dani.
After Friday’s Standing Committee meeting, Dani shared that Kids City, which was initially built in 2008 as part of the lakefront’s redevelopment, is now 17 years old and in need of refurbishment. He added that the recently upgraded Kankaria Bal Vatika, renovated at a cost of ₹2 crore, will also be inaugurated.
Furthermore, in the current financial year, the city’s civic body will construct new fire stations in five city areas—Ranip, Lambha, Shahibaug, Ramol-Hathijan, and Riverfront West. The construction will be carried out at an estimated cost of ₹54 crore to ensure fire safety coverage within a 10 km radius. DeshGujarat
