April 23, 2025
Vadodara: The Government of Gujarat has suspended the Mamlatdar of Jambughoda over Vechan Nondh (sale entry) of ceiling land at Dabhoi.
The land was recorded as ceiling land, but a Vechan Nondh was made, following which a probe was launched. The report of the probe was submitted to the Revenue Department, after which the government decided to suspend the then Deputy Mamlatdar of Dabhoi, Y.C. Solanki, who was last serving as Mamlatdar of Jambughoda.
The land in Baripura village of Dabhoi taluka was sold years ago, even though it was recorded as ceiling land. Y.C. Solanki was the Circle Officer of the Dabhoi Mamlatdar office when the irregularity occurred. The involvement of two more officials was also found in the probe; however, only Y.C. Solanki among them is currently alive. DeshGujarat
