Vadodara: Gorva police in Vadodara booked one Harun following alleged sex with a cow by him. Harun is booked under BNS Section 299 and Animal Cruelty Act Section 11(a)1. He is believed to be mentally disturbed.
According to details of this case, Vishal Rabari, a cattle-keeper from the Gorva area, was travelling to Por for a wedding function. His cow with tag number 2225 was roaming near Sub Station behind Swami Vivekananda Heights tower. In the dark, one person namely Harun allegedly sexually abused the cow. A video of the same went viral on social media. With this, Gau Rakshaks and others gathered at the spot and caught Harun. Police arrived at the scene and took Harun to a hospital as he was beaten up by the locals.
On the other hand, Muslims also rushed to the place and claimed that Harun was mentally disturbed. It’s worth noting here that the Gorva area had witnessed an acid attack on a cow a year ago, for which police had booked five persons.
According to Jeevdaya worker Twinkal Kaur, the cow faced sexual abuse in this incident. He demanded strong action against the accused. Harun, who suffered fractures in both legs and injuries to his hand, back, and head, has also filed a complaint against three unidentified persons for beating him up over a suspicion of sexual abuse with a cow.
Police have sent samples for forensic testing to ascertain whether the cow was sexually abused by Harun. DeshGujarat
