Three Gujarat cities recorded maximum temperatures above 43°C

Ahmedabad: The maximum temperature in various parts of Gujarat has surged above 40°C, with three cities recording maximum temperatures above 43°C. The rise in temperature has led to intense heat in these regions, affecting daily life and raising concerns for health and safety.
Among the hottest cities, Surendranagar recorded the highest temperature at 43.7°C, followed by Rajkot at 43.5°C and Bhuj at 43.3°C.
In Ahmedabad, the maximum temperature reached 42.7°C, which is 2.5°C above normal, with a minimum of 24.2°C. Other cities like Amreli recorded a maximum of 42.9°C, and Baroda saw 42.0°C. Bhuj registered a maximum of 43.3°C, a significant 4.2°C above normal.
Temperatures at coastal stations like Dwarka and Okha were slightly lower, with maximum temperatures of 31.2°C and 33.8°C, respectively. Surat and Surat KVK recorded temperatures of 40.8°C and 39.4°C, while Veraval saw a maximum of 32.4°C.
This intense heat has caused discomfort for residents, particularly in urban areas where heat accumulation is higher. Local authorities are urging people to take precautions, stay hydrated, and limit outdoor activities during peak hours to avoid heat-related illnesses. DeshGujarat
