Azerbaijan Airlines to launch Ahmedabad–Baku direct flight service from July

Ahmedabad: Ahmedabad residents will soon have a new direct international travel option as Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) has announced the launch of a direct flight service between Baku and Ahmedabad starting July this year.

Flight operations will commence on July 4, with AZAL, the national carrier of Azerbaijan, operating four flights a week. Flights from Baku will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays, while flights from Ahmedabad will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Bookings for the service have already opened on the airline’s website.

The flights will be operated using Airbus A320 aircraft, with different departure timings based on the day of operation.

On Fridays and Sundays, flight J251 will depart from Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Baku at 9:15 PM local time and arrive at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad at 2:45 AM IST the next day.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays, flight J251 will depart Baku at 7:50 PM local time and arrive in Ahmedabad at 1:20 AM IST the next day.

For return flights, on Saturdays and Mondays, flight J252 will depart from Ahmedabad at 3:45 AM IST and reach Baku at 7:05 AM local time. On Wednesdays and Fridays, flight J252 will depart from Ahmedabad at 2:20 AM IST and arrive in Baku at 5:40 AM local time.
