Groom suffers brain haemorrhage due to loud DJ music during baraat in Kadana

Mahisagar: The wedding season is in full swing, and with it, the use of loud DJ music has surged in popularity. However, a tragic incident in Kadana has sparked concern — loud DJ music at a wedding reportedly caused a groom to suffer a brain hemorrhage, leaving him unconscious.

The incident turned a joyous occasion into one of shock and sorrow. Instead of completing his wedding rituals, the groom, who was on horseback during the Baraat, became unconscious and was later hospitalized. The incident has raised serious concerns about the harmful effects of high-frequency DJ sound used during weddings and other functions.

In the wake of this incident, a concerned youth from Sanoda village in Dahegam taluka has submitted a formal request to the Forest and Environment Department, urging a ban on such high-frequency sound systems. He pointed out that the increasing use of loud DJs at social, religious, and wedding events is contributing to various physical health issues.

The Gujarat High Court has also expressed concern over noise pollution. In a contempt petition, it was highlighted that despite a March 4, 2024 order in a 2022 public interest writ — directing strict enforcement by city police commissioners and other officials — compliance remains weak across the state, including Ahmedabad. People often refrain from reporting noise pollution due to fear of disputes, further exacerbating the issue. DeshGujarat
