5 butchers held in Surat village for cow slaughter; 195 kg beef seized

Kathor: Utran police conducted a raid at a house in Taiwad Faliya, Kathor village, and arrested five butchers involved in illegal cow slaughter. During the operation, police seized a large stock of 197 kilograms of beef.
Based on a tip-off received by PSI R.D. Dhandhal of Utran police station, the raid was carried out early Tuesday morning at the residence of butcher Abdul Qadir, alias Sajid Mancha Abdul Hamid Sheikh. The investigation revealed that Abdul Qadir, along with hired men, was involved in the unlawful killing of cattle with the intention of selling the beef.
The police arrested the main accused Abdul Qadir alias Sajid Mancha Abdul Hamid Sheikh (resident of Gulistanagar, Kathor), Raees Majid Sheikh (resident of Kholvad), Sahil Rasul Pathan (resident of Makanani Chal, Badat Faliya, Kathor), Rashid Sandu Sheikh (resident of Kholvad), and Mayudin Ayubchhota Bafati (resident of Badat Faliya, Kathor).
Following their arrest, the group of butchers was produced before the court, which granted the police a three-day remand for further investigation. DeshGujarat
