Four Gujarat cadre IAS officers transferred to Centre

Ahmedabad: In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, the Union government on Wednesday approved the transfer and appointment of 41 officers from various services to Joint Secretary or equivalent positions across multiple central ministries and departments. Among them, four officers hail from Gujarat.
The four Gujarat cadre officers include Manisha Chandra, a 2004 batch IAS officer, who has been posted as Joint Secretary in the Department of Defence Production. Saidingpuii Chhakchhuak, a 2008 batch officer, will serve as Joint Secretary at the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Krishna Kumar Nirala, from the 2005 batch, has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, while Supreet Singh Gulati, a 2008 batch officer, has been made Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation.
Each appointment is effective from the date of assuming charge, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever comes earlier. DeshGujarat
