IMD Forecasts Light to Moderate Rainfall in These Parts of Gujarat Till June 5

Surat: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a 7-day weather forecast for Gujarat, including Diu, Daman, and Dadra & Nagar Haveli, predicting light to moderate rain and thundershowers at isolated places across various parts of the state.

According to the forecast, maximum temperatures across Gujarat are expected to remain steady over the next seven days, with no significant changes.

The IMD predicts light to moderate rain/thundershowers at isolated places, especially in districts like Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Dahod, and Mahisagar intermittently through the week. Districts including Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Surat, Dang, Navsari, Valsad, and Tapi, as well as the Union Territories of Daman and Dadra & Nagar Haveli, may also witness isolated showers on most days. Furthermore, in the Saurashtra region, areas like Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath, Botad, and the Union Territory of Diu are expected to experience scattered rain and thundershowers throughout the forecast period.

Meanwhile, dry weather is likely to prevail in districts not mentioned above.

It is noteworthy that during the next 24 hours, “light thunderstorms with lightning and surface winds of 30–40 kmph accompanied by light to moderate rain are very likely at isolated places in the districts of North Gujarat — namely Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Panchmahal, Dahod, and Mahisagar; in the districts of South Gujarat — including Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Dang, Navsari, Valsad, Tapi, and in Daman and Dadra & Nagar Haveli; as well as in parts of Saurashtra — including Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath, Botad, and Diu.”

The IMD bulletin also stated that the Northern Limit of Monsoon continues to pass through 17.0°N/55°E, 17.5°N/60°E, 18°N/65°E, 18.5°N/70°E, Mumbai, Ahilyanagar, Adilabad, Bhawanipatna, Puri, Sand Head Island, 23.5°N/89.5°E, Balurghat, and 30°N/85°E. DeshGujarat
