New Delhi: Justice Nilay V. Anjaria, who hails from Kutch, Gujarat, and has served as a judge in the Gujarat High Court, has been elevated to the Supreme Court of India. His appointment was officially confirmed by the President of India. Justice Anjaria was serving as the Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court prior to this prestigious appointment.The move follows a recommendation made by the Supreme Court Collegium just three days prior to the official announcement.
