Email Fraud Costs IIM Aspirant from Gujarat Her Admission

Surat: In a strange incident, two cheaters created a false email account of an aspirant and got her admission to IIM Indore cancelled. The victim girl has filed a complaint with the Cyber Crime Police in Umargam.
A resident of Solsumba village, the victim girl Kirthi Sagadevan (26) stated in her complaint that she had applied for admission to IIM Indore in the OB-HRM course. She further said that two persons somehow got control of her email account and sent an email to IIM Indore conveying that she was withdrawing her admission.
The complainant girl said she visited IIM Indore’s admission department on 16 May 2025 and inquired about her admission. She was told by IIM Indore that she had withdrawn her admission by sending an email stating she was cancelling her admission due to personal reasons.
The complainant girl was shocked, and when she checked, she found that such an email had been sent to IIM Indore from her own email account. As she was guided by the admission department of IIM Indore to file a police complaint in this regard, she approached Umargam Police and filed a complaint. DeshGujarat
