June 05, 2025
Kutch: The Border Security Force (BSF) recovered seven packets of suspected narcotics during a routine patrol off the Gujarat coast. The contraband was seized in the coastal area of Sugarbet, located near Rodasar and Medi in the border region of Lakhpat taluka, Kutch. The abandoned packets found near the shoreline have triggered a fresh security alert in the coastal region.
Authorities have launched an investigation to trace the source and intended destination of the narcotics. Meanwhile, the BSF has stepped up patrolling and surveillance operations along the coastline to prevent any further smuggling attempts.
This is the latest in a series of similar recoveries along Gujarat’s maritime border, which remains under heightened watch due to its vulnerability to cross-border trafficking activities. DeshGujarat
