Vadodara: A massive fire broke out this morning at PAB Organics Private Limited, a fine chemicals and pharmaceutical intermediates manufacturing company located in the Nandesari industrial estate near Vadodara. The blaze, which erupted around 8 AM, originated from drums filled with solvent in the company’s production area and quickly spread, triggering panic among locals and workers.

As thick black smoke billowed across a 2-kilometre radius, nearly 10 fire tenders from the Nandesari Industrial Fire Brigade, Vadodara Fire Services, GSFC, and GAIL rushed to the site. Firefighters managed to bring the flames under control after a three-hour-long operation using water and foam.

Fortunately, no casualties were reported. Employees evacuated the premises immediately after the fire broke out, averting any injuries.

Authorities confirmed that the fire was severe due to the presence of highly flammable chemicals. Nearby factories were alerted as a precautionary measure.
