Ahmedabad: An accident on the Ahmedabad-Vadodara Expressway (Expressway 1) in the early hours of Thursday, around 4:15 AM, resulted in a fiery blaze and a massive traffic jam stretching for over 10 kilometers.

According to reports, a truck laden with solar panels was stationary on the expressway when it was rear-ended by another vehicle. The collision was so forceful that it ignited a fierce fire in the truck, sending plumes of smoke into the pre-dawn sky.

Emergency services, including fire brigade units, rushed to the scene and battled the intense flames. The fire led to significant disruptions on the expressway, with the initial 10-kilometer jam steadily increasing in length as the morning progresses.

The driver of the truck carrying solar panels sustained injuries in the crash and has been admitted to a hospital for treatment.
