Several Trains Linked to Ahmedabad to Face Disruptions on June 11 Due to Block near Vadodara

Ahmedabad: Train commuters in and around Ahmedabad should brace for disruptions on Tuesday, June 11, as Western Railways has announced a five-and-a-half-hour mega block near Vasad. The block, necessitated by girdering work on Bridge No. 624 between Vasad and Ranoli stations in the Vadodara division, will be in effect from 11:15 PM on June 10 to 4:45 AM on June 11.

The essential infrastructure work will impact the operations of several trains originating from or passing through Ahmedabad, leading to cancellations, partial cancellations, and delays.

Cancellations and Partial Cancellations:

The Vadodara – Maninagar – Vadodara Intercity Express on June 11 has been fully cancelled. Passengers planning to travel on this route should make alternative arrangements.

The Jamnagar-Vadodara Intercity Express will be partially cancelled. This train will terminate at Ahmedabad station, meaning the service between Ahmedabad and Vadodara will not be available.

Expected Delays:

Several trains are expected to experience delays en route due to the block. Passengers travelling on these services are advised to factor in the potential extra travel time:

  • Ahmedabad-Mumbai Shatabdi Express: Expected to be delayed by 30 minutes.
  • Bhagat Ki Kothi-KSR Bengaluru Express: Expected to be delayed by 55 minutes.
  • Jamnagar Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Express: Expected to be delayed by 50 minutes.
  • Bhagat Ki Kothi-MGR Chennai Central Express: Expected to be delayed by 40 minutes.
