Ahmedabad Airport Resumes Operations After Brief Halt Following Plane Crash

Ahmedabad: Operations have resumed at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in the city after a halt of a few hours following the crash of a London-bound Air India flight moments after its takeoff.
The airport, in its statement, said:
“Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, Ahmedabad, is now operational with limited flights. Passengers are requested to connect with their airlines for updated information. Please follow our channels for updates.”
Earlier, the airport had shut down operations after Flight AI171 from Ahmedabad to London (Gatwick) was involved in a crash shortly after takeoff, just outside the airport.
The flight had 242 passengers on board, including 53 British nationals. As per the passenger list, former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani was also on the flight. DeshGujarat
