Forensic teams working 24×7 to expedite DNA matching; 36 experts deployed: Sanghavi

Ahmedabad: Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghavi today held an important meeting at the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) with several senior officials of the Home Department. The meeting reviewed the current functioning and detailed progress of the FSL.
Addressing the media after the meeting, the Minister said, “A meeting was just held at the Forensic Science Laboratory with several officials, focusing specifically on the Gujarat team of forensic scientists who have been working tirelessly day and night, without rest for the past two nights to expedite DNA matching for the families. In addition to the state efforts, a large number of forensic experts have also been sent by the Government of India to assist. Currently, 36 forensic experts deployed by the Gujarat Government are working.”
“After every cycle of 3-4 hours, the reports are sent to the Civil Hospital. We held this meeting to discuss how we can make the process faster,” he added.
The Minister appreciated the dedication and efficiency of the FSL team and encouraged them to maintain the same speed and accuracy in future operations as well. DeshGujarat
