24 hours rainfall data from across Gujarat ; Gondal tops the chart with nearly 4 inches rain

Gandhinagar: 42 talukas in Gujarat had more than one inch rainfall in 24 hours ending Sunday morning as per the data available from the State government. Gondal, Khambhat, Dasada, Rajkot in Saurashtra region were toppers in the list. In total 148 talukas of Gujarat received rain in this period as per the data. At most places, rainfall started post 4 pm. In places such as Ahmedabad city, strong winds with dust storm were experienced in the evening at around 8 pm. The Government of India’s Weather department IMD has issued forecast for even more rainfall. Today is 15th of June, when arrival of Southwest Monsoon should in normal circumstances take place in the limits of Gujarat, however IMD shows the monsoon has not officially entered Gujarat.
